Back by popular demand, the Leicester Stand Up Challenge returns to help demonstrate that Leicester & Leicestershire are fun places to do business! Held during the Leicester Business Festival, The Challenge (taking place at The Kube, Leicester Racecourse, Oadby) sees 10 prominent local business leaders take to the stage and perform their first ever 5 minutes of stand-up comedy all in aid of charity. The event is the perfect opportunity to treat your staff, clients and customers to a vibrant and unique networking event whilst enjoying a welcome drink, a two course buffet dinner, the Stand-up Challenge comedy show hosted by Jarred Christmas and an after show party.
All proceeds from the night will support local charity Big Difference Company (registered charity 1135167), which aims to improve the health & wellbeing of communities across the UK. Recent projects have included engaging with people living with arthritis to encourage them to live healthy lives and exercise, as well as projects working with older people and children & young people.
Leicester is the home to the longest running comedy festival in Europe which has an annual economic impact to Leicester & Leicestershire of £3million per year. The main February festival offers exciting ways for local businesses to associate themselves with “one of the leading brands in the UK public arts” (The Times) and the Stand Up Challenge has rapidly become a key date in the annual business calendar. The Leicester Stand Up Challenge is supported by Leicester Castle Business School at De Montfort University, in association with Leicester Mercury.
Doors open at 6pm, with food served at 6.30pm. The after show party will finish by 11.30pm. Tables for 8 people are now available at £350 + VAT. Limited individual tickets (seated at a table of 8 guests) are also available at £47.50 + VAT.
